Enunciation. The Difference Between.

I do apologize for the lack of updates in the last long while. Blame end-of-school-year projects. I'll try to manage my time better though, so hopefully you'll see some more goings-ons in the near future.

Language Complications ~ Part 13

So you know what annoys me? Bad pronunciation.

Don't get it?
Allow me to explain.

So the other day, a group of people came to my school to celebrate the birthday of the famous person that my school was named after. They made this hugely long speech about how this person was kind, generous, and giving, and how, as a doctor, he saved the lives of many.
Nothing wrong with that, right?

However, every time he used the word "Selfless", what came out was "Selfish".

Private information on the Internet?

I apologize for being so quiet in the last few weeks. Midterm exams, the setting up of a new team-blog, and some other life things got in the way. So for now, here's a little something for you to chew:

Language Complications ~ Part 12

So we've all seen the problem about privacy issues over the internet, especially with social networking sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and such. Users of such online programs worry about their "private" information, and are consistently complaining about how the information they put online, including addresses, cell-phone numbers, pictures, etc, are/can be seen by potential strangers which increase the chance of getting stalked, either online or in real life.

I'm Smarter Than You. No Really, I Am!

I can count by two's and tie my shoes,
I can also type, and I have teeth.
(Ha, Franklin! Your turtleness is no match for my evolutionary brain!)

Hay Hey!

Language Complications ~ Part 10
Life Complications ~ Part 12

Have you ever thought how life would be like if humans had no water and oxygen?
Quite a scary thought, isn't it?

But have you ever wondered how life would turn out if humans had no sense of humor?
The results would be a lot more disastrous.
Here's an example:

Never Believe in Advertising

Language Complications ~ Part 9

So.
I'm an avid gum fan.
I chew
Like a train.
On its last journey
Before 2012?

However, I'm not quite as fond of the dentist as I am of my gum.

If You were Me (You Wish!)

Language Complications ~ Part 8

If I were you, I would breathe...
But since I'm NOT you, please ignore that suggestion.

Thou Shall Tell Moi How Ye Are!

Language Complications ~ Part 6

Blogging from School: Take 4
Business class...really the only time I can get to a computer at school...
I'm sorry Ms. BusinessTeacher...

You know those questions that always always gets the same response? And that you get so used to it by now that you find yourself expecting the same response when you put these questions in use? The questions, and their answers have become quite routine, and they're seriously no longer needed.

Blogging from School: Take 3
And once again, something from business class... <--I'm such a good student...

Actually...I'm a very regular user of this one...so I shouldn't really be talking, but ah wells!
...So, you know that thingamabob used by those peoples who works at the place and makes others better? Something like this?:

Ok is to the Eyes of the Questioner

Language Complications ~ Part 4

This was actually something I first encountered when I was learning the English language, but I was reminded of this today when I slipped on ice...

I'm sure everyone has heard of this one by now, and its one of those dreaded questions that can only be responded in one way. Allow me to give you an example:

Language Complications ~ Part 2

To tie in with my first Rant post, here is another phrase that usually appears about an average of 3-5 minutes after the first one:

Unique-ly Normal...

Language Complications ~ Part 1

So, we all know that language is an IMPORTANT part of life, no matter which form you are using. One needs language to efficiently sum up their thoughts or feelings and mail it over [pardon the awkward pun] to their receiver, and he/she, it, or that thing will send back another idea in the same format [or lack thereof] and an exchange will occur.
